How To Remove Stretch Marks For Black Skin

How Do You Remove Stretch Marks David Reath Knoxville Plastic Surgeon

Hi everybody. I'm David Reath, and I'mgoing to talk about this week's TruthOMeter Tuesday question. The question we asked this week was basically a request from many of you from our previousweek. We asked about things that you wanted to knowabout, and one of the top things was stretch marks. So our question was this, quot; The only truly effective way to treat stretch marks is bysurgically removing the skin that contains the streth marks.quot;I would like to tell you that that was a quot;falsequot; or sort of a toss of a coin, but the factof the matter is, that's true.

The problem is this: stretch marks are reallyscars. And there's no way to eliminate a scar totally either than to remove the skin thatcontains the scar. People have tried different creams, peoplehave tried different salves, people hvae tried laser. None of these things really work onstretch marks. They're still there, and quite honestly I think the results for most of thesethings are not worth what you're going to pay for them. Now it is true that as time goes on stretch marks may fade a little bit, as do scars. But they won't go away unless you remove the skin that contains the scars. So I'm sorry to tell you all that the answer

to that is true. Most of you already knowthis, and got it right. So let's find out who won this week.Britney Phillips. Britney, congratulations, you're this week's winner. You get a $100 gift card, come on into the office. Pick that up. We'd love to see you.I thank everybody for playing this week, we had a great number of responses, and we'regoing to try to come up with a really good, interesting questionfor you again next week. So, see you then.

How Black Women Can TreatPrevent Pregnancy Stretch Marks

HI guys, this is Eva from Bay Harbour MedSpa. And today we are talking about stretch marks from pregnancy. I'm going to read theemail from the young lady and then I'm going to elaborate on this 'cause this is very crucialand very important and all of you out there that are pregnant, going to be pregnant, werepregnant, pretending, planning to be pregnant, listen to what I have to say. So, a blackfemale, age 25. Hi, I need to know about the products that you mentioned for stretch marksafter pregnancy on black women. I do not know the name of them. I have now thick, blackstretch marks on my side and a mixture of thick, dark and lighter stretch marks on mybelly. What can I do about them, pleaseé OK.

Guys. Listen to me carefully. what is a stretchmarké A stretch mark this is skin, this is skin, a stretch mark is a tear, a tear. Yousee what just happenedé It tore. Well, that's what a stretch mark is. The skin tore. Tore. The cells, the top layer of the skin, tore. And it leaves a little kind of an indentationin the area that to you and let's say to a black person, but even to a white person itwill just show itself in a different color, will look like zig zag lines and will be inblack people it's lighter, than their regular skin. Listen to me. And I need you guys tounderstand this. When I talk about stretch marks, I'm talking about prevention. I'm nottalking about correction. You are asking me

what to do when you already have it, and Iam telling you what to do not to have it. Or have it reduced. Because here is the problem:right when this happens it tore, it already happened. How am I going to fix thisé HowéHow am I going to fix thisé It will be nearly impossible to fix this with any product thatis out there. So what I said in my previous tutorials about stretch marks is that you guyscan use coconut oil which is natural that you can buy inexpensively at Costco, you canbuy like a big container of coconut oil, coconut butter 'cause coconut when you hold it inyour hands, it becomes like oil, it melts. Or in some health food stores. And you usethe coconut butter, coconut oil on your skin

before you get stretch marks. So if you aregoing to be pregnant, you start using the coconut butter or coconut oil but the purething, not the stuff that they sell in advertised 'cause that's garbage. You want to use thepure, pure coconut oil, coconut butter, either or, makes no difference. Whatever they callit it's the same thing. You can buy it at the health food store, pure, hundred percentpure, or you can buy it at Costco. And you apply it on your skin twice a day at least. So what this coconut butter or coconut oil accomplishes is, it gives you skin which issomething that does stretch and is something that does breathe, it gives your skin moremore space to stretch. It gives it more elasticity.

It doesn't allow the skin to tear as fastbecause it gives it nourishment and it gives it moisture. So it allows the skin to stretcha little bit longer before it tears. Versus doing nothing, getting a stretch mark. Sothere is nothing out there that I can tell you will get rid of your stretch marks whenyou already have them. Short of lasers, short of microdermabrasion treatment where you actuallystimulate you abrade the skin to a point it starts bleeding and what you accomplish byit, whether it is with microdermabrasion, whether it is with laser, whether it is needling, you create stimulation and stimulate the new cells that you just removed to regrow. Soyou irritated the skin and now the skin will

push new cells to regrow and by regrowingit, it will fill up a little bit of that indentation. So, when you have stretch marks it's muchharder to get rid of them. If you have stretch marks that you already had from my personalexperience if you really invest a lot of time and money you can improve it, but you can'tget rid of it completely. I said if you let's say, you're a woman and you had a baby andyou have stretch marks because you were pregnant, the best way to get rid of them is cuttingthem off. You go and do a tummy tuck, or you go for plastic surgery and the willcut the stretched skin off and will leave you with a belly that has no stretch marksor instead of having this much stretch marks,
